What types of treatments are included in Chinese Medicine?

Chinese Medicine includes a variety of techniques to balance the Qi, or Life Energy. These include the insertion of needles at points along the meridians, or energy pathways, of the body. We also use custom blended Chinese herbal formulas to treat our patients, cupping, different massage and body work techniques, and a variety of other treatments. Please visit our NAET page as well to learn about our specialty in allergy elimination.

Do acupuncture needles hurt?

Acupuncture needles are extremely thin - approximately the diameter of a human hair. On occasion, some people may feel a slight poke as the needle is inserted, but most patients report little to no pain at all.

What can I expect from a visit?

Your first visit to Delray Beach Acupuncture will entail a lengthy interview. I will ask you a number of questions that will help me to diagnose the imbalances within your body. A typical appointment runs one hour, with the initial appointment lasting around two hours to allow for an hour or interview followed by an hour of treatment.
